8 Days Cairo and Nile Cruise Tour

Arrive in Cairo and pick up from the airport in an air-conditioned vehicle by our tour guide to your hotel in Cairo. Then you move into your room. The rest of the day is at your own disposal. Overnight in Cairo.

When you land in Hurghada, you will stay overnight at the booked hotel after being welcomed by our tour guide. The transfer to Luxor takes place early in the morning of the day following your arrival. On the hotel ship you will find out everything you need to know about your Nile cruise during a welcome meeting with your guide.

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel. First up is the Giza Pyramids . After lunch , which is included in the price , you will travel to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo. The day ends with a stroll through the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar . You will then return to your hotel.

Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel for the domestic flight to Luxor. After your arrival in Luxor, our German-speaking tour guide welcomes you. First you will be taken to board your 5*Nile ship and can then have lunch on board.
In the afternoon we visit the Karnak Temple and then we drive to the Luxor Temple . Finally you will be taken back to your ship and can have dinner straight away.

After breakfast, you will drive with your guide to the western bank of the Nile (West Thebes) to visit the interesting pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings . Continue to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut . On the return journey you will make a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon . Lunch on board. Nile cruise through the lock from Esna (about 55 km south of Luxor) to Edfu (about 100 km south of Luxor). Dinner and accommodation on Board.

After breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit the very well-preserved Edfu Temple of the falcon god Horus.
Return to the ship, have lunch and enjoy the Nile cruise on to Kom Ombo , where you will visit the double temple of the gods Haroëris & Sobek. Continue on the Nile trip to Aswan. Dinner and accommodation on Board.

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Aswan. The excursion begins with the High Dam , then a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk, in a pharaonic granite quarry. Continue by motorboat to visit the Philae Temple on Agilkia Island.

The afternoon is yours, optional excursions include: B. an Aswan city tour or a boat trip through the island world with a visit to a Nubian village. Dinner and accommodation on Board.

After breakfast you will disembark from your Nile ship. Then you will be transferred to Aswan airport for the return flight to Cairo. After your arrival in Cairo, you will be picked up again by your travel companion and accompanied to your hotel.
Optional (extra charge) : The impressions can be rounded off with a visit to the sound and light show at the pyramids or an optional Alexandria tour or visit to the Pharaoh's Village , where the history of Egypt comes to life before your eyes.

After breakfast (depending on the departure time) you will travel to the airport for your return flight to your home country or, optionally, an extended holiday by a beach holiday on the Red Sea or in Alexandria.
