Overview
Enjoy your cruise down the Nile. This cruise ship offers stylish and comfortable suites, an elegant dining room, a spacious sundeck, swimming pool and other amenities. While on board, live the magic of the past and explore the wonders of the Nile as you sail between Luxor and Aswan and visiting Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, Kom Ombo Temple, and Edfu Temple.
Itinerary
Warm welcome at Luxor airport or train station (the transfer from Hurghada to Luxor can also be booked and is cheap). The bus then continues to the berth of your Nile cruise ship and embarkation. You will have your first meal depending on your arrival time on board. You then have the opportunity to explore the city of Luxor on an (optional) carriage ride. Your cruise ship will remain in Luxor overnight.
After breakfast, drive to the western side of the Nile to visit the pharaonic necropolis, Thebes West. You will visit the Valley of the Kings , where the resting places of the greatest pharaohs were discovered, as well as the Temple of Hatshepsut and then the Colossi of Memnon . Visiting Tutankhamun’s tomb is optional. You eat and spend the night on board.
It begins with breakfast on board and then takes you to visit the 30-acre Karnak temple complex . Second stop is the Luxor Temple , which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ship leaves in the afternoon and travels upriver via Esna through the lock to Edfu (100 km south of Luxor). Meals and overnight stay on board.
On the fourth day your hotel ship anchors in Edfu. After breakfast on board, visit the Temple of Horus , the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Further upstream we take you in Kom Ombo to a unique double temple of the deities Sobek and Haroeris. Then we continue our journey towards Aswan. You eat and spend the night on board.
Breakfast on board and then the journey to visit the mighty high dam , which, with its reservoir over 500 km long, can call itself a building of the century. A motorboat takes you to the island of Agilika to the Philae Temple , the cult site of the goddess Isis. Afterwards, continue to the quarries on the east bank of the Nile to see the so-called ” Unfinished Obelisk “, which is considered the only evidence of the obelisks’ making.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Nile to Kitchener Island , where you can visit the Botanical Gardens (by sailboat or, if there is no wind, by motorboat). Meals and overnight stay on board.
The whole day is at your leisure. For an additional cost, you would also have the opportunity to take a day trip to Abu Simbel to see the famous temples of Ramesses II. to visit (optional) .
In the afternoon you have the opportunity (optional) to go on a wonderful boat trip through the island world and visit a Nubian village . Here you can experience the simple life of the Nubians and the extraordinary hospitality of these people. Meals and overnight stay on board.
After breakfast the ship begins its journey downstream. Enjoy the cruise on the Nile back to the starting point in Luxor. The final day is all about relaxation. In the “city of palaces” Luxor, the impressions can be rounded off with a visit to the sound and light show in the Karnak Temple (optional) . Meals and overnight stay on board.
Today you leave the ship, then transfer to the airport/train station in Luxor (the transfer from Luxor to Hurghada can also be booked with us).
